Based in beautiful Tuscany, Italian artist Daniela Forti creates magnificent glasswork out of everyday household items to achieve stunningly surreal pieces that resemble jellyfish.
Forti likens her artworks to jellyfish because of their dripping tentacles that serve as the table’s legs, creating the illusion that they’re effortlessly floating as a jellyfish does moving through water.
To achieve this, she uses a technique that involves melting solid glass until they meld and weave together. The process will leave each of the pieces precariously balanced on colorful spindles and droplets of glass, somehow supporting the weight from above. You can find more of her work here.
